The National Weather Service has posted a Winter Storm Warning for 7 pm tonight [Wednesday] thru 1 am Friday. 10+ inches forecast for the South and Central Vermont Mountains. Tomorrow Is For Photographers!

 It's a winter wonderland here! And, tomorrow, Sunday the 26th, the forecast is for bright sun and clear skiers. However... dress warm, it's going to be cold out there. Take one of our Scenic Drives.. or just travel Route 100 from any point to any point.. it's that beautiful! Stop along the way and photograph some skiers or snowmobilers.. maybe some wild turkeys that are surrounding your car, or just country stores and covered bridges. Whatever.. Enjoy!

Will trail conditions improve tomorrow? It's anybody's guess as to where and how soon. Our recommendation, if you are hoping to snowmobile this weekend, is to check with the Snowmobile Club closest to your area of interest. Winter Storm Warning Update - 4:54 AM EST Friday, 02.24.01

Storm now approaching Vermont.. Moderate to heavy snow for Central and Eastern Vermont. Snow will become heavier later in the day and this evening. Roadways will become hazardous. Pack your vehicle with emergency gear, including warm things. Note that cell phone coverage in Vermont leaves much to be desired.. don't count on it! Buckle up and drive on well-traveled roads.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning to take effect beginning 4am Friday to 7am EST Saturday. The storm will travel south to north and generate 6" to 10"... possibly more in some higher elevations. The good news is snow is forecast for overnight tonight and Saturday. Saturday and Sunday will be cold with single digit temperatures at night. Snowmobile Conditions

Snowmobile conditions vary greatly depending upon area. Basically, reports for high elevation trails are good in some places, not all. Several Snowmobile Tour Operators have reported AOK!

Forget about snowmobiling in the valleys for now! Good News! Temperatures are dropping like a rock, and will even more so for the weekend. Also, snow is in the forecast for the weekend! Check our Forecasts by Area on our Homepage.

 In our opinion, the best source of current conditions come from the 135+ Snowmobile Clubs in Vermont, as these represent die-hard snowmobile people, and they are on top of things every day! Check our Snowmobiling Page for more meaningful information.

56th Annual Brattleboro Winter Carnival

This fun Winter Carnival takes place at our southern most gateway to Vermont.. Exit 1 on I-91. The dates? February 17th through the 26th. Check out their Schedule of Events! There's also lots to do in and around Brattleboro anytime. Route 30 makes for a great Scenic Drive, and there's plenty of Lodging facilities. Lunch or Dinner? Plenty of choices!. In short, Brattleboro is one of our favorite destinations.. It's got lots of character!
